Mainstay Provisions

Mainstay Provisions is a cafe and market where diners can enjoy coffee, pastries, breakfast, soups, sandwiches, salads and rotisserie chicken at the restaurant or take away to enjoy at home.

Located in Ballard, owners Chef Thom and his wife Ashley wanted Mainstay to mirror the neighborhood's vibrant personality and deep maritime roots. For the branding, we took inspiration from the word 'mainstay' itself - a rope that keeps the mast of a sailing ship upright. Exploring a nautical theme, we thought a ship in a bottle was the perfect metaphor for Thom and Ashley's belief that quality food AND convenience is possible.
